By using Waypoint you accept these terms. They are written to be read, not to be skipped, so they are shorter than most.

The short version

Waypoint is free, and it is for inspiration. It suggests where you might go; it does not book anything, sell anything or guarantee anything. Everything it tells you can be wrong, and some of it will be. Check the facts that matter before you spend money or board a plane.

1. Who provides this service

Waypoint is provided by Prisha iCube, based in Bengaluru, India, referred to below as "we" or "us". "You" means anyone using the site.

2. What Waypoint is, and is not

Waypoint looks at the public holidays that apply where you are, works out which breaks you could realistically take, and suggests destinations that might suit the time, the season, your budget and your interests.

It is not a travel agency, a tour operator, a booking engine or a travel advisory service. We do not sell flights, accommodation, tours or insurance. We are not party to any contract you enter into with a travel provider, and we have no role if something goes wrong with that contract.

3. Accuracy, and the absence of any guarantee

Waypoint draws on public data sources, on figures that go out of date, on estimates and on AI-generated text. It is offered as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Specifically, and without limiting that, we make no promise that:

the public holidays shown are complete, correct or currently in force where you live;
cost estimates resemble what you will actually pay;
climate and seasonal figures predict the weather you will get;
travel times, routes or connections are available or accurate;
any statement about visas, entry requirements, safety, health or local conditions is correct or current;
the site will be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.

4. Decisions about travel are yours

Nothing on Waypoint is advice. Before you commit to a trip, verify the things that matter against authoritative sources: your own government's travel advisories, the destination country's official immigration and visa authority, your airline or operator, and a medical professional for health and vaccination questions.

We are not responsible for a refused visa, a missed entry requirement, a cancelled flight, a closed attraction, bad weather, an unsafe situation, or a trip that cost more than you expected.

5. Partner links and commissions

Some onward links from Waypoint to booking sites, tour operators and travel-services providers are affiliate links. If you follow one and make a booking, we may receive a commission from that company. You pay nothing extra; the price is the same as going there directly.

We want to be precise about what this does not affect. Commission plays no part in which destinations Waypoint suggests, how they are scored, or the order they appear in. The ranking is produced by our own code from published data, and it has no knowledge of which providers pay us. We do not accept payment for placement, and we do not sell recommendation slots.

Linking to a provider is not an endorsement of them. We do not vet them, and your dealings with them are entirely between you and them.

6. AI-generated content

The destination briefings are written by an AI language model. AI text can be confidently and plausibly wrong. Treat these as a starting point for your own reading, never as a source of fact. They do not influence scores or rankings.

7. Acceptable use

Please use Waypoint as intended. You agree not to:

scrape, crawl, bulk-download or systematically extract the site or its underlying data;
use automated means to make requests at a volume a person could not;
attempt to bypass rate limits, security measures or access controls;
resell, republish or commercially redistribute Waypoint's output as your own;
interfere with the service or with anyone else's use of it;
use the site for anything unlawful.

The service is rate-limited. We may block, throttle or refuse access to anyone, at any time, without notice.

8. Intellectual property

The Waypoint name, logo, design, text, code and the arrangement of the site are owned by Prisha iCube and protected by copyright and other laws. You may use the site personally and share links to it. You may not copy, adapt or redistribute substantial parts of it without our written permission.

Waypoint also displays material owned by others under open licences, including content from Wikipedia, Wikivoyage, Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons, geographic data from OpenStreetMap, and figures from a number of public and governmental datasets. These remain the property of their owners and are used under their respective licences. Credits appear at the foot of the homepage. Our claim of ownership does not extend to them.

9. Third-party sites

Waypoint links to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, their availability or their privacy practices. Following a link is at your own risk.

10. Availability and changes to the service

Waypoint is a free service offered at our discretion. We may change it, limit it, suspend it or withdraw it entirely, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice or liability. We are under no obligation to preserve anything, including anything saved in your browser.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, opportunity or enjoyment, arising out of your use of Waypoint or your reliance on anything it told you, however that liability arises.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to one thousand Indian rupees (₹1,000), which reflects that Waypoint is provided free of charge.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under applicable law. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The revised version takes effect when it is posted here, and the date at the top will change. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revision. If you do not, stop using the site.

13. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Waypoint, are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction, save that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you retain any right you have to bring proceedings in your own courts under the law applying there.

14. General

If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive it. These terms, together with the Privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us about Waypoint.
